more about me…

Ema is a multidisciplinary artist, living in East Harlem, NY. Originally from Zagreb, Croatia, Ema moved to the East Coast to get their degree in theatre and dance performance, as well as creative writing.

Having moved to the United States at the age of sixteen, their greatest want is to help create work that will be authentic to their experiences as a queer, immigrant artist in America. Through the art of performance and a well-established practice of theatre devising, Ema hopes to expand access to the arts, in any way possible.

Oh and rumor has it Ema has excellent comedic timing. But that’s just a rumor.

They have worked with some of the leading theatre institutions, locally and regionally. Some of them include the Drama League, Actors Theatre of Louisville, The TEAM Devising Company, The 24 Hour Plays, The Hangar Theatre, Target Margin Theatre, National Theatre Institute, Williamstown Theatre Festival, Joe’s Pub/The Public Theatre, Perseverance Theatre of Alaska, Dramatist Guild Foundation, National Queer Theatre and many more.

They are an alum of the British American Drama Academy & Sarah Lawrence College.

Ema is currently part of the Mercury Store Acting Company 22/23.
